ABOUT

-
aims to bring awareness to global issues rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- is a math-based game.
-
uses dice probability to model actual production of natural resources for countries / regions.
With those resources, players can
-
trade with other countries/regions.
-
build infrastructure for their country.
-
achieve specific SDGs.
MUN Trade War aims to bring awareness to the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Phases are used to focus on specific UN SDGs.
In Phase 1, MUNTW
focuses on 3 Sustainable Development Goals.
Players build shelters to eliminate poverty.
SDG #1 - NO POVERTY
Players feed their people to reach zero hunger.
SDG #2 - ZERO HUNGER
Players build schools to achieve quality education.
SDG #4 - QUALITY EDUCATION
In Phase 2, MUNTW
builds upon phase 1 and introduces energy and grappling with climate change.
Players use resources to provide affordable energy.
SDG #7 - AFFORDABLE ENERGY
Players decide between energy sources to supply clean energy.
SDG #7 - CLEAN ENERGY
Players take climate action by tracking and reducing their carbon dioxide output.
SDG #13 - CLIMATE ACTION
Countries and regions produce different levels of natural resources we need.
MUN Trade War aims to model the actual production of natural resources by all
countries / regions through
2 dice probability.
South America has around 5% of the world's population.
We match the closest two dice probability with respect to a region or country and that specific resource.
Math based
South America has around 5% of the world's population.
There is a 5% chance that a 3 is rolled.
Therefore, South America has a 3 as its country number for people.
